Our entire kitchen is a dedicated gluten-free facility. All ingredients are certified gluten-free with a threshold of <10 PPM, including our grains, noodles, burger buns, and tempeh. Our dishes are friendly to people with gluten sensitivities, gluten allergies, wheat allergies, and celiac disease. No, we do not use soy sauce.

We are also a strict dairy-free facility (which is required under our kosher supervision). Dairy products are not allowed on the premises.

We do not use tree nuts or peanuts in any of our dishes.

We do not use any food additives or preservatives, such as those recognized as “GRAS” by the FDA or any other synthetic ingredient, including MSG, Xanthum gum, food colorings, etc. This is important to us; the food you eat here is real food!

No dish contains eggs as an ingredient besides the Poached Onsen Egg and Ramen Egg, which are cooked independently of all other dishes and added on at the end to individual bowls. All of our bases and vegetables that makeup our bowls, all of our soups, and the Tempeh Umami and Edamame Guac proteins are vegan and do not contain any form of animal product (including honey). Any non-vegan proteins are added at the end to individual bowls.

We have put together a dedicated menu of dishes that can accommodate certain diets, including: soy-free, sesame-free, low-FODMAP, KETO, Paleo, and Whole30. We take cross-contamination very seriously; however, if you have any very severe allergies that we do not keep our facility free from (ie: sesame and soy), we do not recommend you eat here, out of an abundance of caution. If you have any other allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities, whether common or uncommon, please speak to us before you order.

Please note AO only operates from the back counter of 1385 Broadway, Storefront #2. Our same space contains Masuda Omakase, which operates from the bar and does not share our kitchen (though we share the same Kosher certification). Masuda is not dedicated gluten-free; please contact them for special diet accommodations. There are also two other restaurants at our address; please make sure you’re at the right one as we cannot make any representations about any other restaurants.
